One of the biggest issues people face is finding the time to workout. When there are one thousand items on your to-do list, not to mention a demanding job and/or family, how’s a woman supposed to get healthy and look and feel her best?!
- Do you feel like you have no time in your schedule?
- That 30 minutes at the gym seems impossible?
- Would you like to be healthier, feel better, more focused and energized, and feel more confident in how you look?
Then this program is for you.
Lately I’ve been working with a lot of busy women who literally have no time in their schedules. In many cases, outside pressures they have no control over have taken over their time. They are tired, stressed, and their health is suffering because of it. Since exercise is vital to health, my new program can help you squeeze a workout in, despite how hectic your life is.
First things first, can we agree that exercise isn’t optional, even though budget cuts for PE classes would leave you to believe otherwise? Exercise cannot be replaced or ignored, and its benefits will make you a full-on better version of the awesomeness that you are right now:
- Improves mood
- Improves focus and concentration
- Helps control weight
- Increases longevity (AKA: be around longer for your family!)
- Makes daily activities easier
- Increases metabolism
- Reduces your risk of many diseases and cancers
- Decreases stress
- Sharpens memory
- Makes you more creative
- Can improve quality of sleep
- Prevents age related weight gain
- Makes you a better employee or boss, parent, and a better YOU!
This list makes me happy. You were created to move and you’ll be rewarded with all of these benefits when you do so!
I’m sure you’ve heard of the The 7 Minute Workout before- it took America by storm. People who are busy, people who don’t want to exercise, people who want to ease into this new fitness lifestyle- so many benefit from this short and sweet circuit training program.
Why Not Just Do The Original 7 Minute Workout?
There are a lot of benefits to both circuit training and HIIT (high intensity interval training), but there are plenty of reasons why the original 7 minute workout doesn’t quite live up to its reputation. Since you’re busy, I won’t elaborate too much, except to say some of the studies referenced and claims made didn’t quite match this type of workout, and since it’s only bodyweight, people plateau easily. It’s a great workout to do on occasion, however you could do more in 7 minutes to get better long-term results.
What’s So Great About This New Program?
I’ve created a better version of the 7 minute workout and turned it into a 7 day a week program. Don’t stress- you don’t have to do it each day, but at least there’s an option, right?
You don’t need to worry about plateauing in weight loss or building strength! I’ve combined the amazing benefits of strength training + circuit training + HIIT to help you get as much out of 7 minutes as possible, and to help ensure your metabolism is increased for the rest of your day.
The 7 Minute Workout Program is
- effective,
- efficient,
- targets your fat-burning system,
- helps you lose fat while building muscle,
- fights disease,
- and boosts your metabolism.
Why wouldn’t you try this? :)
What to Expect
Well, it’s 7 minutes long (shocking, I know) + warm up and stretching. You’ll have 7 workouts you can do at home, even on back to back days. It’s an upper-lower body split routine, which means one day you’ll work your legs, the next day you’ll work your upper body while your legs rest, and repeat. One day is solely cardio. You only need a pair of dumbbells.
The workouts are comprised of strength training and plyometrics exercises. Each exercise has its own individual instructional video with a beginner, intermediate, and advanced way to do the exercise. Any level of exerciser should be able to make this program work for them. You will spend some extra time learning the exercises at first, but you’ll learn quickly and will be able to jump right into the workouts once you do!
How to Get the Best Results
You can (and should) increase the weight you’re using whenever anything seems easy. This will be another way to prevent your body from getting used to the workout and burning less calories. Ain’t nobody got time for that…literally. The program also alternates time spent in the circuits to help you get results.
I encourage you to go all out, to give it your all, and focus on getting the maximum calorie burn in those 7 minutes.
Make time for this. Push yourself. Repeat. It will be worth it!
Realistically Speaking…
I wouldn’t normally tell people to workout for only 7 minutes. The AHA recommends 150 minutes of exercise per week, so I usually push people in that direction. However, this workout program is an important piece in the puzzle of health and fitness. It’s a great help in your journey of making exercise a lifestyle.
If you can relate to being stressed and too busy to exercise, if you despise exercise, or if you’re easing into a new, healthier lifestyle, this is your piece of the puzzle for now. It will help fight disease and weight gain, while increasing your strength and metabolism. It’s not a cure all, but it’s great for this season of life you’re in. Or just come back to it when you have a busy week. It will be here for you! :)
